OUR BRANDS

Up above the Andes, in the southernmost lands of the world, the stars that form the Southern Cross guided the first inhabitants of our winemaking valleys to begin cultivating the vines that give life to Cruz Andina. For wine lovers that seek new experiences. Cruz Andina presents authentic, elegant wines that faithfully express the typicity and terroir of the best appellations of Chile’s remote lands.
Alpha Ariete is the most shiningstar of the Aries Constellation and symbolizes stronger determination. For years, Ariete has announced the beginning of the Autumn equinox in the South hemisphere, energizing a new harvest cycle to our unique terroir, allowing to handcraft amazing and stunning flavors and aromas from Chile.
The purest manifestation of nature can be found in the southernmost region. There, the flora, fauna, and geography remain untouched by humans. This virgin purity should be savored with organic and sustainable wine. It's a place where you'll be constantly amazed by its diversity and natural richness. This is a vibrant, untainted purity... an Austral purity.
Our wines come from Chile's most renowned appellations, where the art of winemaking is devotedly practiced and our vineyards flourish in rocky soils. Every bottle is a reflection of the exceptional fusion of meticulous craftsmanship and the character of our lands, offering an authentic and unique experience to your glass.

The "payador" is a typical character in Chilean folklore who recites improvised verses to the rhythm of his guitar. When these verses, called "payas," are recited by a duo, a "counterpoint" is created. A duel in which one must respond to the other's verses begins, and this competition only ends when one of the participants cannot provide a response to the opponent. This wine is named after this character in homage to our traditions, originating in the Chilean countryside. It is in this place where the vines are cultivated, delivering these enchanting organic wines that seek to reflect and honor their origin and variety in every glass.

JAIME MARCHANT
WINEMAKER

Jaime grew up in a wine-growing area, so from a very young age he toured the vineyards of Alto Maipo on his bicycle, and little by little he fell in love with their colors and shapes, as well as with the life cycle of a vine according to the seasons of the year.

Even as a child, he began to visit wineries accompanied by his parents, and his interest in oenology grew more and more. Until in his youth he saw the documentary “Descorchando Chile” and that was the turning point, it was when he decided that he wanted to be part of that story, that his future was to be a great winemaker.

He studied at the University of Concepción and once he graduated, he started to work at Viña Santa Rita, where he was for 3 years, then he joined the Lapostolle team and at the end of 2018 he became part of our winery as winemaker at Alto de Casablanca Bodega y Viñedos.
